Calling All Young Filmmakers
Are you 16-19 and love film? If so, our BFI Film Academy course is for you. No formal qualifications are needed – just a passion for film!
This course will be delivered by CTVC, a BAFTA award-winning TV, radio and digital production company.
As a CTVC BFI Film Academy participant, you will learn from award-winning filmmakers and take part in a series of masterclasses and workshops with BAFTA and OSCAR nominated industry professionals, hearing their top tips on how to get into, and succeed in, the film industry. You will receive technical training on industry-standard equipment including camera, sound and edit, alongside pre-production and production management training. As part of the course you will attend a special animation weekend delivered by BAFTA nominated animator Shaun Clarke. You’ll watch and discuss films from around the world and learn more about distributing, marketing and financing films. As part of a team, you will also produce your own short documentaries and animations that will be screened in front of friends and family.
